The publicity generated by the media got me interested in genetic manipulation, cloning and genes in general. As an artist, I like to be inspired by these developments. My paintings and sculptures are created through transformation and fantasy. A second important motive is the relationship between man and his natural environment. I am particularly interested in the distinction between fiction and reality, which is becoming increasingly blurred.
